The next phase of the project in 2007 will involve Farming and Countryside Education (FACE) running a three day course on how to prepare and organise farm visits for schools and getting FACE accreditation. At a meeting on October 26, it was agreed the course would be run in January. A Farm Detective competition will be arranged to publicise the work to get teachers interested in farm visits, and to attend training days to see where heritage and curriculum activity can be met on farm visits. The competition results will be announced at the Surrey County Show.
The courses will be run on January 31, February 14 and February 27 at the Function Rooms, Cross Farm, Shackleford, Nr Godalming, Surrey.
